
THE WORLD'S OLDEST CONTINUOUS RODEO

For over 140 years the World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo has never missed a beat. The August Rodeo is steeped in tradition and holds dear the title of "best small town rodeos in the world." From bull riding to team roping the weekend is jammed packed full of family fun and bucking broncos. You will see a full PRCA rodeo with the following events:

Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling, Tie Down Roping, Team Roping, Barrel Racing, Women's Breakaway, Mutton Bustin and Jr. Steer Riding.

Tickets are subject to availability and may not be available for purchase at the gates. It is always advisable to purchase online.

SATURDAY - August 12, 2023 - RODEO WEEK KICK-OFF
Head over to Rim Country BBQ from 1-4PM on Saturday to kick of rodeo week!​

WEDNESDAY - August 16, 2023 - CHAMBER MIXER - PAYSON EVENT CENTER
Come enjoy our Chamber Mixer at the Payson Event Center from 5-9PM. Dinner served at 5:30PM!​

THURSDAY - August 17, 2023 - WOMEN'S CACTUS SERIES BARREL RACING
Gates open @ 5 PM Performance @ 6 PM Admission (1) can of food
For more information and to enter for the Barrell Racing for Thursday night, please contact Nancy Jane 520-975-6325 or email at saltriverrodeocompany@gmail.com. Please do NOT contact Nancy for Friday and Saturday events. Thursday night is the only event that she can answer questions on or to take sign ups. Stalls can be purchased under the resources tab. Credit cards are required for stall purchases along with a refundable cleaning fee. Tickets can be purchased under the "ticket" tab or use the "Contact Us" tab to reach the Payson Pro Rodeo Committee!
Various food and merchandise vendors are available at the rodeo grounds. Adult beverages are available for purchase from the Payson Pro Rodeo Committee. Must be 21 years or older and comply with the Arizona Liquor Laws.

PARKING$10.00 cash per vehicle payable upon entry to the Payson Event Center. Parking is limited and subject to availability. Overflow parking is available across the highway at the Casino. Drop off for handicap is available. Please mention this to the parking attendants and they will direct you. As with any venue, handicap parking is limited.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?The Rodeo is happening rain or shine! Regardless of the weather, the show must go on! Refunds will not be issued due to weather.
