Sponsors are a key element in maintaining the rodeo spirit by bolstering our initiatives of supporting local organizations, fostering western culture and promoting the original American extreme sport of rodeo.  There is no better place to entertain your clients or reward your employees, with your name in the forefront.  We have many sponsorships available to promote your business and to support our efforts to give back to the community. 

 

The Payson Pro Rodeo is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.  The profits that we make go directly back into our community to support the residents of Payson.  We fund five scholarships for our graduating seniors in the Payson Unified School District for both academic and vocational studies.  In addition to these valuable scholarships, we also donate to the Payson High School athletics department. 

 

In the most recent years, we have donated to Reaching Out for Breast Cancer, Payson Special Olympics, Payson Honor Guard, Wreaths Across America, Payson Senior Center, Payson Community Kids, Brownsville Western Heritage, Payson Christian Clinic, the Payson Middle School Football team, Payson Homeless and Homeless Veterans Initiative, American Legion Post 147, Northern Gila County Fair and Senior Citizen Affairs Foundation of Pine.  We are proud of our contributions to our community and continue to grow the money donated each year while growing the events that we produce. 

 

The Payson Pro Rodeo is a 100% volunteer organization with over 125 members and many more countless volunteers that work throughout the year.   Col. James Doolittle said it best “There is nothing stronger than the heart of a volunteer.” This holds so true for our members and volunteers.  We could not hold our events without them.

 

We produce three events each year.  We have the Iron Horse Rodeo Motorcycle Run held in October, the Gary Hardt Memorial Rodeo held in May and the World’s Oldest Continuous Rodeo in August.  Our organization puts Payson on the map for truly being the heart of Arizona and drawing visitors from all over the world to our town.
